This is a simple GSM SIM card reader / Writer. It was usedvery common electronic components that easily to buy at any electronic shop. Thedevice costs about 3-4$(RS300- 400). This SIM reader reads from SIM almost allfiles: phonebook, SMS, IMSI, ICCID etc. You can use SimScan v2.01 for crackingKI and IMSI for clone sim cards. There is a step by step tutorial for “how to make a clone sim card using microcontroller ( Click here for view it on new window )” in my site (Caution: sim clone isillegal just for educational purposes only..!).
The power supply for the circuit is 5 Volt; it comes fromCOM-port. The sign of successful communication is receiving an answer to resetcommand (ATR - Answer to Reset). You can check ATR, using the 'Test'button of the program SimScan v2.01. Before test, connect your SIM-Reader to aCOM-port, insert a SIM to cardholder and select proper COM-port and frequencyof quartz in settings of these programs.
The reader will work at once after assembling. The readerwill work at once after assembling. As usual it do not require additionaldrivers for communicate with Sim reader/ writer.
